🇧🇩 Bangladesh Bank's illogical Dollar Endorsement Policy Is Not Stopping Money Laundering It’s Stopping Progress !
Let’s talk with logic
People often think global services like PayPal avoid Bangladesh because the market isn’t profitable.
That’s false. Bangladesh is one of the fastest-growing freelance and digital economies in Asia. Companies know this they even maintain Bangladesh-specific pages and data.
So why aren’t they here?
👉 Because of Bangladesh’s dollar endorsement and international transaction restrictions.
Authorities say this policy prevents money laundering but history proves otherwise.
We all saw how in previous years, massive sums were laundered abroad by powerful individuals, even with these strict banking controls in place.
So clearly, this system doesn’t work against real offenders it only limits honest citizens, freelancers, startups, and small businesses.
Instead of blanket restrictions, Bangladesh can adopt modern, smart anti-laundering measures, such as:
✅ Real-time transaction tracking using digital analytics
✅ AI-based risk detection for suspicious transfers
✅ Cross-border verification and digital KYC systems
✅ Transparency through verified online payment gateways
These are the solutions used globally — effective, transparent, and growth-friendly.
When you limit your citizens’ access to global tools, you don’t prevent crime — you prevent progress.
Bangladesh can’t build a digital economy by restricting its youth’s potential.
It’s time to modernize policy, trust our citizens, and create an economy that welcomes innovation.
We humbly request our government please, don’t treat citizens as if they’re unaware or incapable. The people of Bangladesh are smart, skilled, and ready to compete globally. Restricting them through outdated banking rules only limits progress. Even foreign investors hesitate, not because they doubt our potential, but because our banking and dollar endorsement system is too restrictive.
Let’s act wisely not fearfully and work smart to open the doors for growth !
On behalf of the people of Bangladesh our freelancers, entrepreneurs, and aspiring innovators.
